The Infusion of Afro-Eastern Caribbean Jazz


The infusion of drums, congas, and timbales captured the African and Eastern Caribbean rhythms and sound of Quanti Bomani with Urban Insight when they performed at Velma's in San Francisco last week. Saxophonist, composer and lyricist Quanti Bomani lead his group of renowned musicians through some jaw dropping, and playful original music. Quanti took command of the show with beautiful syncopated improvisations and fluid melodies. Quanti Bomani with Urban Insight demonstrated that they are a talented and diverse group that can capture the hearts and minds of their listening audience.
